This is what we came to know from few parents - Amiown called them for so called "interaction with parents" but then they asked child to be taken into a room and one of the parents was allowed to go in. The "interaction" took place in Hinglish (mix of Hindi and English) and they bombarded kid with question on topics like:
- Color identification
- Shape identification
- Animals, Birds identification
- Painting
- Drawing
The parent were asked these questions (sort of, language and type of question may differ):
- How you want to raise your kid
- What is your take on future of your kid
- Where you both work
- What you do
The total duration of this interaction varied from 30 minutes to 60 minutes. As we can guess, what school is trying to do here........

this really is confusing but the reality is that, Amiown and Amity have opened admissions each.
Reaosn is such that Amity is located in Saket and Amiown in Vasant Kunj area and are being operated as separate business units.
Thats what I updated on my last post that Amiown does not gurantee that the kids who pass from Amiown will get admission to Amity later...
Anyways, no harm in filling forms in both Amiown and Amity both......

Amiown is located in Pushp vihar with Amity Push Vihar campus , very near (1 Km) from Saket!!!
I may be wrong on that - guess Amiown located in Pushp Vihar.

Amiown asked for 300 for the form deposit & 800 Registration fee...!!! Govt. sleeping !!!!!!!!!!!
Amiown, Saket IS calling and interviewing children along with parents.
Plus, they make parents wait for upto 4 hours for the 5 minute long interview. Yesterday, people called at 0930 were yet to be called for a interview at 1230 hours.
Absolutely unpunctual and with no consideration whatsoever about the schedules of working parents.

Amiown has also become just a money-making machine.
Amiwon has decreased their school timing from 3 and a half hours to just two hours for the 2010 session.
Two hours of play school!!!!

One lesson to learn - Never choose amiown or amity!!!
I am just posting for the interview part. I took my 2 year old in today,
I felt they were decent enough...come on people, are u cribbing about "waiting" its but natural, looks like you have not faced interviews in life. I suggest kindly use patience for virtue
secondly, every one from gate guard to coordinator were warm cordial and non imposing. (I remember my school guards..gabbar will be scared....)
To help future parents - the child was NOT ASKED ANY THING even though we had prepped her for same.
The coordinator wanted to know how much time do you spend with your kid and what are the activities we do with her and being working parents how do we divide our time with her. how many household help do i have (Maid & cook) they need to know this for child's environment.Since she is with her grandmother the whole they, what do they do together?
I feel this reasoning was genuine and decent enough. and if all students admitted are a product of sane and involved home environment, it would give me sense of security to send my child there.
