The Shri Ram School, Gurgaon - Point System for Nursery Admissions 2016

The Shri Ram School, Gurgaon has allocated 25 points to an essay under the head of "parents' response". Are they really serious??? This is not an essay writing competition, or may be it is!  (we published similar report long back in 2008 - as Delhi branch of this school ran similar "interaction/interview" thing at Vasant Kunj branch and seems like the administration really likes it a lot)

Here are other key points as setup by school -

• 35 points for Staff/Sibling/Alumni.... that actually makes sense.
• Max 20 points for neighbourhood
• 5 points for Single Parent/Adopted Child/Special Needs
• 15 points for first child

Last date for receiving all forms by 1600 hours on Thursday, 27th August, 2015
The list of applicants will be displayed at 1600 hrs on Friday, 11th September, 2015

• There will be no screening, written test, interview or profiling of child/parents.
• If applications are more than the number of seats available in each category, admission shall be done only by draw of lots/lottery
• Closure of admission process will be on Thursday, 31st March, 2016

Photocopy of the documents to be carried along with originals at the time of fee submission:

• Birth Certificate issued by the Municipal Corporation
• Proof of residential address [Passport/ Lease Deed/ Electricity Bill/ MTNL Telephone Bill/ Electoral Card]
• Note: School will also verify the residential address through home visits.
• In case of sibling applicants: the identity card/admission no of sibling studying in The Shri Ram School whether at the Junior School i.e. Vasant Vihar, the Senior School i.e. Moulsari Phase III or at The Shri Ram School, Aravali
• In case of staff children, staff ID card to be furnished.
• In case of ward of Alumni of The Shri Ram School : Migration Certificate of the alumni parent.
• In case of single parent: divorce decree/ death certificate of spouse
• In case of adopted child: adoption deed
• For proof of first born child: affidavit affirming that the child seeking admission is the first born child. (affidavit format is available on the school website)
• Medical Certificate from government hospital or a report of diagnosis from a recognized hospital. (In case of Special Need or/ disability)
